Graduate Certificate in User Centered Design
2024-2025 academic year
Cost per credit: $950
Application fee: $85
Quarterly registration fee: $55
Quarterly fees: Variable based on credits
Note the quarterly tuition and fee total estimates do not include the cost for other course materials. Tuition rates may experience modest changes yearly and this estimate is provided solely for planning purposes. The cost of tuition per credit and other fees is identical regardless of whether a student is a Washington resident or an out-of-state/international student.
Tuition Deadlines
Tuition is due by the third Friday of the quarter. All students enrolled in a fee-based master’s program are responsible for two financial statements in the MyUW online portal. HCDE master’s students submit payments for student fees to Student Fiscal Services and tuition payments to PCE-Continuum College. Additional details and payment options are listed in the Payment Procedures for Fee-Based Degree Students.
Tuition Exemption Unavailable
The HCDE UCD program is a self-sustaining program (i.e., not state-supported) and therefore does not participate in the University of Washington's Tuition Exemption program.
Financial Aid
The HCDE UCD program does not have the resources to offer direct tuition support/scholarships to students. Federal student loans may be available to students who have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For more information on eligibility, contact the UW Office of Student Financial Aid at
