UW Childcare Assistance Program
While the UW Childcare Assistance Program does not help students with getting into daycare facilities or find providers, it does offer financial assistance for students seeking support.
Scholarships and funding
The UW the Childcare Assistance program accepts the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), Washington Application for Student Financial Aid (WASFA), or the International Student Financial Statement form for international students to determine eligibility. The Childcare Assistance program uses the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from those applications (and they generate an EFC from the International Student Financial Statement information) to see if a student is eligible for funding or not. The EFC funding cut-off changes every year. In 2020-2021 the program is using an EFC of 20,000 or less to be eligible for funding.
Students in need of assistance are encouraged to apply, and verify that the FAFSA/WASFA/International Student Financial Statement is complete.
