On May 15, 2020, students in the Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering joined affiliate faculty member Rebecca Destello (HCDE MS '11), for a virtual "ask me anything" discussion focused on networking building your reputation in UX.

Destello is currently a UX Research Manager at Facebook Messenger. Since graduating with her Master's in HCDE in 2011, she has prioritized networking, mentorship, and community building while embarking on a career as a researcher.

"I built my network by volunteering and saying yes to everything that came my way," Destello said. After years of volunteering, teaching, making herself available to others, Destello says she has a strong community that she can find support from, make connections within, and continue to nurture.
