Tell us something about yourself.

Prior to starting this program, I worked at Impossible Foods helping scale up their first manufacturing plant to plant based meats. Working with the diverse and interesting people there inspired me to take a human-centered approach to problem solving which led me to the HCDE program!

What do you like most about studying HCDE?

I love how diverse the ideas and people are. People are tackling all sorts of wicked problems. I feel like I can learn forever here about a million different things from so many different people.

How do you describe HCDE when people ask what you are studying?

HCDE is the study of designing and engineering meaningful ways to relate to each other and society through technology.

Where would you take someone who is visiting Seattle?

A ferry ride to Bainbridge Island! I think the ferry ride is a really nice way to see Seattle.

What is your favorite way to de-stress?

I think bench-pressing is the best way to de-stress because you get to exercise but also just lay there.

Where can we learn more about you?

Find me on LinkedIn.
